Sundarkand or Sundara Kand is the fifth chapter or Kaand in the epic Ramayan.
It should be noted that Sundarkand is the only episode of Ramayan where Lord Hanuman is the protagonist and not Lord Ram. Sundarkand speaks of the glories of Ram Bhakt Hanuman, his devotion, strength and selflessness. It is the journey of Lord Hanuman to Lanka, how he finds Mata Sita there, reassures her and then wreaks havoc in Lanka when Ravan orders his men to set Hanuman's tail on fire.
