Description

This Purana mainly explains the transcendental greatness of Trivikram, Lord Vishnu. In this Purana, there are great stories of devotees like Lord Vamana, Nar-Narayan, and Bhagwati Durga, as well as the best characters of devotees like Prahlad and Sridama, among others. Aside from that, the Leela-character of Shiva, the living vehicle-narration, Daksha-Yagya-Vidhvans, Kaalroop of Hari, Kamadeva-Dahan, Andhaka-Slaughter, Lakshmi-Character, Pretopakhyan, with various vows and hymns, and finally with Vishnu Bhakti teachings, there is an epilogue to this Purana.

Pulastya exclaimed, "Naradji!" I have told you about this very holy Purana. By listening to this, one achieves Vishnuloka, which bestows great fame and devotion. Just as by bathing in the water of Ganga, all sins are washed away, similarly, by listening to this Purana, all sins are destroyed.

According to the law, all the sins of a person who listens to this purana on a regular basis are destroyed by worshipping Vishnu humbly, and he receives the fruits of performing the Asvamedha Yagya with Dakshina and donating gold, land, horses, cows, elephants, and chariots. Anyone who hears even one step (part) of this (Purana) becomes holy and very pious on earth.

This Purana contains ten thousand verses that describe the five characteristics, or Varnya-subjects, of the Puranas: Sarga, Pratisarga, Vansh, Manvantara, and Vanshnucharita. All subjects are mentioned in proportion. In between, emphasis has been placed on spirituality-discovery, kalikarma, and virtue, among other things.
